How do celery get striped when I put it inside food coloring?
Q. If I cut a slice off the end of each stalk and put it inside each of the blue and red food coloring glasses. Why the next day when I slice the celery crosswide I see the celery striped?

A. the celery has little tubes in it ( the stuff that gets stuck in your teeth) that carries water to the whole plant, so when you put it in food coloring, the color travels up the tubes too :)

A. The bigger concern is WHY does your kitten have an upset tummy? If you don't fix the WHY then celery water will just be a temporary fix if it works. I don't think celery water will do harm but you really need to figure out why it's tummy hurts. Probiotics (broad spectrum) is VERY helpful for tummy aches and it works almost instantly. Probios is an excellent brand and your feed store should have it or a large animal vet clinic should have some. We keep it on hand ALWAYS and not just for my horse, dog and cats. We use it and MAN this stuff WORKS. But you GOTTA figure out whats making your kitten sick!!!

When your nutrition is THAT poor, your body goes into "ultraconservative"mode, and it consumes your own organs and tissues rather than give up it's fat reserves, which it percieves as needing in order to survive on such little nutrient. And, the previous answer is correct -- you can survive for 3-4 weeks on just water. Celery is actually WORSE than just water, because it requires more calories to digest than it gives you, but the only result of that is that you would be completely exhausted for those 3-4 weeks instead of just starving to death.

Q. Hey everyone. I'm a big chicken wings guy, and as we all know, it comes with celery and blue cheese. I love celery, probably the only vegetable that I like. Whenever I get it at the restaurants it ALWAYS tastes better then the one i buy at the store, no matter how fresh, expensive it might be. Do they do anything special at the restaurant to celery that it tastes so good. Please let me know, maybe someone works at the eatery.
